A combination of abstract expression, graphic marks, and raw messiness. Neat and controlled, but stormy and gritty. I create art that expresses the overactive madness and the need for calm stability in my brain.
Portraits of women. All unique, independent, and bringing their own sense of confidence to the canvas. I completed these portraits as a study of my own internal need to express my growth in self worth and discovery. All of these women express something within me that needed to come out. They exist in their wholeness with no need to explain themselves. I call this series Women Who Don't Need Your Approval.
